Construction Marketing Advisors (ADVISORS) got started in 1996 as Brown Building Products Marketing. Previously, agency principal Neil Brown was a brand manager at electrical products marketing powerhouse IDEAL Industries, and later CMO of an architectural metals manufacturer.
After stints at several agencies managing such brands as Chicago Faucet and Siegles Home Centers, Brown recognized the need for construction market and functional expertise. He started his own shop and quickly added construction market clients including ITW, USG and BOSCH Power Tools. In 1998, Brown acquired Ross Llewellyn Advertising, adding Vaughan & Bushnell Tools. The rest is history.
